 Virtus Training

 

To all Volunteers:

All persons who participate in any manner with our children (coaches, scouts, chaperones for study trips, volunteers in classrooms) MUST have VIRTUS training verification, according to the rulees set forth by the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.  If you already have completed this training, please bring your VIRTUS training certificate to the school office so that we can make a copy for our records.  Again, the VIRTUS program is mandated by Archbishop Buechlein.  If unable to attend upcoming sessions scheduled at Saint Susanna, you may attend at another site.  To view scheduled training at other sites, please visit the virtus.org website.  Please note that the Virtus training sessions will last for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. 

Saint Susanna schedule of future Virtus training sessions:

  • Saturday, January 7th @ 9:30 am in the Resource Room
  • Monday, January 9th @ 6:30 pm in the Resource Room
  • Tuesday, January 24th @ 9:30 am in the Resource Room

  • St. Lawrence (Indianapolis) Saturday, September 10th @ 9:00 am
  • St. Gabriel (Indianapolis) Tuesday, September 13th @ 6:00 pm
  • St. Matthew (Indianapolis) Tuesday, September 13th @ 6:00 pm  
  • Holy Spirit (Indianapolis) Saturday, September 17th @ 9:00 am (This session will be conducted in Spanish)
  • St. Joan of Arc (Indianapolis) Saturday, September 24th @ 9:00 am
  • Holy Spirit (Indianapolis) Saturday, September 24th @ 9:00 am
  • Our Lady of Greenwood (Greenwood) Thursday, October 6th @ 6:30 pm
  • St. Monica (Indianapolis) Tuesday, October 11th @ 6:30 pm

If you are in need of training, please go to virtus.org to register for a session or to locate the nearest church.  You can call the Faith Formation office at 317-838-7722 for assistance.  

If you are a "leader" of any volunteer group here at St. Susanna, we ask that you assist us in verifying that those involved in your group have completed Virtus training.  Please ask the school office personel to check our records to confirm that everyone in your volunteer group has a certificate of completion for training on file with us.  Thank you. 

IF YOU HAVE NOT COMPLETED VIRTUS TRAINING, YOU ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED TO INTERACT WITH THE THE CHILDREN IN ANY CAPACITY.
