Extended Day Ministry

Rates:

Registration Fee: $15.00 per family

$4.00 per hour for one child - quarter billings at $1.00

$1.00 per hour for each additional child - quarter billings @ $0.25

Charges are based on use and computed to the nearest quarter hour.

There is a late charge of $1.00 per minute after 6:00p.m.

One of the biggest difficulties facing working parents today is locating appropriate and safe care for school-age children prior to and after the normal school day when parents are at work. At Saint Susanna School, the Extended Day Ministry provides a safe environment for children and a worry-free service for parents. Students remain with classmates with a similar value system and are able to experience an enjoyable time within a secure atmosphere.

A registration fee of $15.00 per family is due at the beginning of each school year. Extended Day Ministry may be used daily or occasionally. Fees are assessed on an hourly basis. Only registered school-age children may enroll in the Extended Day Ministry. All students, pre-school through eighth grades may use the Extended Day Ministry, Monday through Friday. An Extended Day Ministry child information/emergency sheet must be on file.

The Extended Day Ministry is open Monday through Friday from 6:30a.m. until 6:00p.m. Breakfast and snacks are offered. The cost for breakfast is $1.00 and consists of cereal and milk. The cost for snack is $0.75 which includes milk and one food item, e.g. fruit, pudding, granola bars or applesauce.

Rest time is from 1:00-2:30p.m. Please provide a pillow and throw blanket for your child if they will be in Extended Day Ministry for rest time. Blankets will be sent home to be laundered on Friday. Feel free to bring your child's favorite stuffed animal.

If there is school delay or early dismissal, the Extended Day Ministry hours will be the same. The Extended Day Ministry is closed on "NO SCHOOL" days.

Please do not allow your child to bring personal items to Extended Day Ministry such as iPods, cell phones, Game Boys, Pokémon cards, CD players, etc...

Study hall is mandatory for children grades 4-8 and optional for grades 1-3. If your child is in grades 1-8 and has no homework, this will be an opportunity for your child to complete his/her AR reading. There will be assigned seating.

Please let us know of any changes in the normal pick-up routine. This must be done with a written note, dated with signature, and include a phone number where you may be reached.
